My name is Toni Ann Sleddon and I am the Director & Proprietor of Skin & Tonic.

I qualified as a beauty therapist in Manchester in 1983 & my career took me halfway around the world;  working on Cruise Ships in the Caribbean and living & working in Athens, Greece for a few years before returning to the UK. 

​

I previously ran my own beauty business, taught Beauty Therapy part-time  and worked as an Electrologist at a large hospital in Lancashire. 

After a complete career change & working as a Health Care Professional for 20 years, I have come full circle, with more life experience and knowledgeand have created Skin & Tonic.

I specialise in treatments for women around Menopause (peri & post menopause also).

I have plenty of personal experience of the physical and emotional problems many of us face at this age and have chatted to hundreds of ladies over the years about their experiences of menopause.

Many of my treatments are tailored specifically to this age group, of which I am a member, sympathiser and huge supporter!

 

I offer beauty, holistic and foot care treatments, plus some more specialist additions, including Cosmetic Tattooing (Semi Permanent Make-Up) for brows, lips & eyes and Medical SPMU, for the scalp (alopecia & hair loss) and areola area, post mastectomy.

Around menopause our skin loses elasticity and collagen levels and hormone levels change, which can result in dry skin,  unwanted hair and heightened levels of stress and anxiety. My aim is to provide a calming, relaxing, confidential and professional service to all my customers.

Anyone is welcome to my Foot-Care Clinics. As we age it becomes more difficult to reach our toes and maintain good foot care. I offer treatments from simple Toe Nail Cutting, to Specialist Relaxing Spa Pedicures for ladies and gentlemen.

I offer Electrolysis which is the ONLY recognised permanent hair removal method and Advanced Electrolysis for the removal of moles, skin tags, age spots etc.

Other treatments include  Therapeutic Massage, for muscular & Joint aches & pains and more
